THE HEART BEHIND MY WORK

Phoenix of SunFire was born from healing, heritage, and a whole lot of fire.

I’m Jessica Revies; and before I ever made a single shirt or cup, I spent years trying to figure out who I really was. This brand is where all of that discovery, honesty, and creativity finally found a home.

MY JOURNEY TO IDENTITY

I’ve lived a few different lives already: policing, preschool teaching, Registered Behavioral Therapist, Special Education paraprofessional, and even cake decorating for a while. I poured myself into every role, but I never felt fully seen in any of them.

Growing up adopted (within family), there were pieces of my story I didn’t have access to. Like many Black folks and adoptees, there were gaps — parts of my identity lost over generations.

Taking an ancestry DNA test opened a doorway. It connected me back to my English, German, and Nigerian roots. It gave me a language for who I am and permission to reclaim what was lost.

RECONNECTION TO CULTURE

My spiritual path and my blended heritage shape everything I create.
So does my husband’s lineage, Khoisan and Jamaican, and the way our family honors ancestors, healing, and truth.

Phoenix of SunFire became my way of rebuilding myself with intention.
Every design reflects the cultures, languages, symbols, and spiritual elements that ground us: English, German, Yoruba, and more.
